HavenLeigh…so many ask if there is a meaning to our name... Our response is, “Yes, and so much more”. In searching for the name, our owner quickly felt that her surname did not quite work for the luxury inviting spa experience she was wanting to portray, so she decided she would simply find a name that at least started with an “H”. She also wanted an “L” in the name, as this is the first letter in the last name of her granddaughter.

 

She wanted a name that meant something and represented something unique and wonderful. To her, that something unique and wonderful was a person who means the world to her and would be the inspiration for the name...her mother. Her mother passed away in 2010, having an incurable brain tumor. Our owner’s mother’s middle name is Leigh. Both our owner and her granddaughter share this middle name in her honor. Naturally, Leigh would become part of the name. As far as finding the “H”, our owner continued her thoughts on her mother.

 

If you were lucky enough to be in the presence of our owner’s mother, you would’ve felt something truly special—unbelievable kindness, her full and undivided attention, and the sense that you were the most important person in the world. Being around her brought a wave of comfort and peace, and a deep feeling that no matter what, everything was going to be okay. She was a true haven—a selfless, caring soul….

and that’s how HavenLeigh came to be!

After her death, our owner would often see yellow butterflies, which made her think of her mother, and she discovered that her sister shared the same sentiment. So, the H + L + Yellow Butterfly would become the symbol for the logo in memory of her mother.

 

Beyond the meaning and origin of the name, HavenLeigh desires to do more and be more. In honor of her mother’s legacy, our owner created the HavenLeigh Partnership Program a way to give back by supporting local nonprofits and charitable organizations. Through this program, her mother’s compassion and generous spirit will live on, making a lasting impact in the community.

 

Our owner’s dream for HavenLeigh Salon + Wellness Spa is for it to be more than just a place—it’s meant to be a feeling. From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, we want you to feel truly seen, cared for, and at peace. You deserve this time for yourself—a moment where everything is about you.
